Social constructionism is a causal psychology approach that implicates social institution and rule to be responsible for developing our behaviour. By extension this suggests that we as individuals are not self determined but a product of the society. Therefore, social constructionism is reductionist because it quite obviously reduces the idea of "your" motives and actions to be a projection of the ideals of your society. This idea is very post modern, but I believe it is also individualist because the society could not have this level of influence on our individual experiences if we did not collectively perpetuating its values and regulations. This means that the social construct needs each individual's help in circulating its values and that we all unknowingly or knowingly play a role in its perpetuity.

Make sure you talk specifically about reductionism and individualism in psychological study, and how they relate to social constructionism.
In addition, what is the main message that social constructionists want to get across?
