Are emotions innate? Damasio raises the question of whether emotions are innate. His answer isn't a simple yes or no. Summarize his response.
While Damsio suggests that some of our emotions are innate, he also argues that there are many emotions that are learned through experiences. The innate emotions that Damasio suggests we are born with are considered out primary emotions. For example, humans would likely be scared and have a reaction to the presence of bear naturally.
Contrarily, there are many learned emotions, considered secondary emotions, that are picked up through positive and negative outcomes of situations.
