Are emotions innate? Damasio raises the question of whether emotions are innate. His answer isn't a simple yes or no. Summarize his response.
I personally think that emotions are innate, but at the same time the environment and as well triggers have a huge role on emotions (both). In the previous class we discussed how if an infant monkey witnesses an adult monkey reactting scared towards a snake, then there's a good chance the infant monkey will be scared if ever encountered with a snake in the future. A way environment has an effect on emotions for example could be an abusive house hold. Visiting your parents in the abusive house hold can trigger a lot of past memories which then makes a lot of emotions surface to the top.
