Body state - the physical aspect of how your body feels. For example when you are sad you feel down and your body expressions will show this by the way you act.
Body map - a precise map of what is occurring in the body produced by the body sensing regions. For example when your body temperature rises, your body's response is to produce sweat so the body can cool down.
The difference between the body state and the body map is that feelings are experienced more through the body map than the body state. Body state will recognize the situation and prepare the body for feeling which is expressed be the body map. Ex. we can look at a surprise birthday party; at first the person who is being surprised will feel shocked and their body state will show that they are surprised. Following this the body will map will express a happy and positive feeling.
