yes!, Emotions are extensions of our homeostatic nature given to humans from evolution. There is built-in mechanism that we have which allows feelings to emerge as a result of our emotions. Such innate emotions for example, Anger. This is an innate emotion because it’s not learnt or shape. As babies we have the ability by nature to express anger. With respect to having a “tantrum” when babies don’t get food on time.

Damasio argues in the book that emotions aren't entirely innate - what else does he say emotions are? Are they entirely innate or entirely another feature or a combination of both?
