Are emotions innate? Damasio raises the question of whether emotions are innate. His answer isn't a simple yes or no. Summarize his response.
I believe emotions are both innate and learned. It's the question of nature and nurture again. I believe some emotions are innate such as anger, sad, happy, etc. I do think environment and your childhood as a huge role in emotions. Emotions can also be learnt as you can learn to be empathetic or the example that we used in class, where a baby monkey learned to be scared of a snake after seeing an adult monkey getting scared of a snake.
