Demasio discussed how feelings are perceptions, and that perception occurs within brain-body maps. However, he discusses how variations within pleasure or pain is consistent of the " perception of what we refer to as feelings. Demasio agrees with Langers in which feelings are the consequence of homeostatic process. Demasio believes feelings arise from homeostatic reactions and not just emotions.
