Damasio's view of what is most important/interesting about Spinoza's mind-body problem was that the mind and body relate to one another. He explains that the mind is always prepared and the body is grounded by the mind. The mind and body problem have conscious states where the subject and observer is involved. These elements take a role in perception. One example that we have used in class is that you technically don't need the mind to be hungry however the feeling of hunger can get you to want food. In addition these observations can be used as tools for internal and external factors.
