Spinoza thought of the mind and body as one thing with 2 aspects of dualism kind of like a coin with 2 sides on it. He explains that both are connected and the body is grounded by the mind where the mind is always prepared. As opposed to Descartes, Spinoza thought the mind and body work together in roles of perception. For example, one does not need the mind to be hungry. However, the feeling of hunger would make the mind want food.
