A zone of proximal development can be described as a task learner can do with help or a task that a learner can do without help. An example of this would be when my gym class was learning how to play tennis, the teacher would present students with basic tasks for beginners. I have been playing tennis for 10 years so these basic tasks were below my zone of proximal development.
