When reading a text and coming across an unfamiliar term, one would look to the context of the sentence which it resides, then the paragraph, chapter, and finally, if the tern remains unfamiliar, the book. The same applies to trying to understand why a human acts/behaves in a certain situation. The psychologist would look at the context in which the behaviour/action took place, the context of the situation, and how the human acts in different situations to conclude why it acted/behaved in this way.
