An example in my everyday life where I was both a puppet and a free agent in society is whenever I'd need to get past people or someone was blocking my way, I would automatically say "sorry, excuse me" or even if someone held the door opened for me, I would automatically say "thank you".
In terms of me being a free agent, I have a choice of saying those phrases or not. I could've just said nothing and just pushed my way through. But in regards to the puppet aspect, I would be breaking the "social rule" that was constructed by society naturally. By not following the social rule, I would be labelled as rude by others.
