The outcome of social interactions is defined as joint action. The origin cannot be traced to initial intention of individuals. Is higher intellectual beings we are able to read and anticipate the actions of others by means of body languages and spoken word. However the development of a social act cannot be predicted because we act in the present, constantly adjusting and modifying our behaviour, feeding off of the other person(s). Like a dance. We unconsciously anticipate the influence from/on others. A personal example of joint action which I experienced was meeting new people at the beginning of the semester in this course, I did not anticipate to build such strong relationships with my group members. Joint action is a great way to describe this interaction because if you were to ask us all individually none of us would have anticipated this to occur. We slowly realized it over time getting to know each other and reading each other (gestures and body language)
