I had never noticed how many thoughts I have when I think about someone, repertory grid technique did elicit constructs which are vital to how i construe my surroundings. I found that more of the constructs had to do with character traits which are important to me, based off of past experiences. For instance, reliable unreliable, honest liar, soft spoken or loud. I think because of past experiences I value more specific traits and I know that when I am friends with someone I want to receive back what I give to them. Others in my group did have different constructs, others referring to appearance or education or views, something I do not pay too much attention to. Id assume that these differences were because of the people being rated I put friends mostly rather than family others did the opposite. I assume Butt would want to observe that it has to do with people doing the rating for a majority, as he took to Kelly's ideology which states people's construals of the world mattered a great deal in what constructs are dominant in their evaluations of individuals/objects.
