Joint action is defined as the belief that an outcome of any social act is an immeasurable consequences of social relations, unable to be traced back to the original intentions of an individual. It is important to understand this concept in relation to a human’s ability to read and anticipate each other by means of gestures and language.
As joint action suggests: It is impossible to determine where a social act will lead to since it has to play out first, we can generalize the outcome by past experiences, but it is impossible to truly tell. Throughout our experiences in social acts we adapt and adjust our behaviours as direct response to the thought process of the other individual.
Our acknowledgement and awareness of patterns in social environments conversely influences the other individual unconsciously or at the least subtly.
Joint action is shared requirement between multiple individuals to in turn create action.
It happens with no pre-requirements, as it is a direct response to new and unexpected stimuli (ie. a person's speech/answer to your question).
