Variables of depression

In the case were depression is being treated it is evident that the level of depression is dependent factor and the methods that are being administered by the scientist is the independent variable. The relevant variables is understanding the behavioral history of the patient who is being treated, the level at which the treatment is being administered. Another variable is the competence of the experimenter itself and how she is evaluating the situation, based on her evaluation, then she can determine the appropriate treatment for the individuals.
