I believe a social constructionist is more likely to provide a normative explanation on a psychological phenomenon because normative science explores regularities in thought and action through norms. Social construction deals with the construction of understanding through shared meanings of society. A social constructionist might provide an explanation on deja vu as being a memory reconstruction, but individuals believe it is something more. Using the normative science approach, the social constructionist might explore the regularities when deja vu may occur.
