From my studies in counseling and psychology at Georgian and Laurentian I learned about Maslow, Rogers, Jung, Milgram and Asch. My favorites are Rogers, who was one of the founders of the humanistic approach to psychology; client-centered therapy and unconditional positive regard, and Carl Jung, who developed the concepts of archetypes and the collective unconscious. Both of these psychologists, as well as Dr. Ed Connors, a Native Psychologist in my community, have greatly influenced my approach with clients.
