There are only a couple of psychologists that I know from the top of my head. I am familiar with Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Charles Darwin. I think they are well known because majority of these psychologists contributed many theories and some have impacted the science field, which I hear about in my science courses.

Hello rosesi,
It is true that Charles Darwin's work had a great influence on psychology - and he is a well known figure in psychology. He believed that behaviors follow the same principles of inheritance as do physical traits. Still, despite his great influence he is not considered to be a psychologist. He was a naturalist, geologist and a biologist.
However, Sir Francis Galton (Charles Dawrin's cousin) is considered to be a psychologist (among other things). He continued the work of Charles Darwin in behavioral science, which eventually lead to modern behavioral genetics.
