Working with childern

I used to work with kindergarten children, and as kids are they tend to fall and hurt themselves. It is very hard to stop a child from crying whether it be from a fall or slip. I was discussing with my coordinator about dealing with the children, she told me that she has "magic rock" that works with the children. The concept of this magic rock was that if a child hurt themselves by a fall or were feeling sad , they’d just have to hold on to this magic rock for 10 seconds, and it will make them feel much better. As an adult it seemed so silly and I didn’t know if it would actually work. I gave it a try and to my surprise it worked, the child stopped crying, got up and started playing with his friends.
