Out of the 5 questions that were related to Chapter 3 (placebo affect), in my opinion placebo has the least affect in this scenario compared to the other 4 questions. I believe there are many other visible factors to why home court is advantageous to teams.
One big reason would be the fan base. Of course a team playing at home will have more fans cheering on them and motivating them. This will inspire and push players to play better.
Another reason why home court advantage could help a team perform better would be the familiarity of players to the home field or court.
It would also be great to mention that the appearance of family members at home could play a positive role.
At Last, It could be concluded that, even though placebo effect could positively impacts players skills and behaviours during a home game, factors such as fans, familiraty to pay area and appearance of family members could also push towards a better home court game.

Yes in a way the players could feel a sense of comfort that can boost their confidence, but what associations do you think the players make with the factors that you listed? Could the meaning of the fan base or family members act as a placebo?
