He does not think psychology will ever be reduced to biology because there are many environmental factors that can't be explained biologically. Norms change over time, same as feelings and emotions. For instance, before , few people gave a damn about how they look. Now if we look at York university only we can see that bodybuilding or strength training is a norm. Almost half of the university is jacked. Same goes with emotions and feelings. We do not wake up everyday happy. But it is the environment, the surroundings that shapes our feelings and emotions. Can biology explain why we as human beings create meaning systems? Or can they explain how rational can be an irrational person?
