Watson’s thoughts and views on things were said to be deviating from usual. His theories and finding on emotional development and infant behaviours were described in detail, and also served as the conceptual and empirical basis for discussions of emotions, conditioning, as well as related issues. Watson’s theories also become very popular amongst many textbook publishers, as he had a strong evidence like Albert on video. As we watch the clip he took of Little Albert we ask more questions to ourselves. As psychology students we would start to be more curious about every little detail we pick on while watch Alberts reactions.
Waston’s theory on Albert, was such a fascinating case, it got everyone to be amazed as to how classical conditioning works. In my opinion, psychology is something that gets you thinking. Little Alberts case, gets us to think more and ask more questions, after all that’s the purpose of a textbook, to teach and get us students to think.
