Chomsky's views on language it is the most complex feature of human behaviour. Although language is ruled bound and structured, it is limitless. However a well known behaviorist,B.F. Skinner argued that language is learned and can be acquired through reinforcements and stimulus-response orientation. Chomsky also argued that behaviorist account on language are inadequate. The explanations they have provided was not enough, he stated that individuals/ children create sentences and combined phrases or words using cognitive processes. According to his view, children have built-in knowledge of grammar, they can easily repeat and apprehend the use of language. They are not merely doing imitation of words but extracting and following the rules. Chomsky's view is more on cognitive approach because it involves the brain and its cognitive processes and how the cognitive endowments helps the child n how language works.
