Biology and meaning in the schema concept

Bartlett's view of schema is that our understanding of the world if formed by abstract mental structures. Piaget's view of schema is based on knowledge and the process of acquiring this knowledge. Piaget suggest that people adapt to the environment. Bartlett's view of schema is a meaning system because he suggests that we give meaning to things that we already have a set view of. Whereas, Piaget's view of schema is a biological concept. He suggests the way people acquire knowledge is a biological process.
