Vygotsky’s perspective is that as individuals interact with their environment, it becomes an integral part of their behavior. His approach was based on “ideal forms” represented by adults. Children learn from adults through play and imitation and through interactions they learn “correct” ways to do things. Vygotsky’s interpretation of the social is that through interaction with the social world, you construct new behavior because of external influences.
