Moghaddam presents several arguments supporting the idea that intellectual ability is strongly influenced by environment or culture. Summarize the argument that you find most convincing and explain why it impresses you.
An argument that Moghaddam presents supporting the idea that intellectual ability is culturally or environmentally influenced was James Flynn's discovery (p102), that IQ scores over time have been increasing and it could be a result of society becoming more "test-oriented" or society becoming more sophisticated test takers. I was impressed by this argument because it counters the argument that intelligence is inherited and static, also it points out the flaws of giving immigrants IQ tests when entering a country because their native country may not hold the same high regard or values when referring to IQ tests or testing, period.
