Behaviourists do not fit in Moghaddam's stages of development because the stages of development are focusing on the child itself and not on the whole, they exclude the environment the child grows up in. The child is to hit or complete stages according to their age. If they do not hit the stages then they are considered to be slower learners. Behaviourists look at the environment the child grows up in. Conditioning and child rearing have an effect on the child hitting the stages. Moghaddam sees the developmental process as a biological aspect. Behaviourist look at the nurture of the child.
