Eugenics means selective breeding of humans for better intelligence. However, it is based on the assumption that intelligence is inherited and measureable, which has been proved not absolutely right. Intelligence might be nurtured too and also the result of intelligence test under isolated condition might be different from when the indivuduals have interaction with supportive adults.
People find eugenics offensive because the whole idea might be based on the wrong assumption and it contrasts with the idea of equality among people and also make people associate eugenics with genocide.
In Darwin's theory of evolution, survival of the fitest is the key idea. It corresponds to the motive of eugenics that only people with high intelligence should be allowed to reproduce kids to at least maintain the intelligence level of human beings.

I liked how you used the assumptions as a part of your explanation
Could you provide any examples in the real world where eugenics has been used?
