According to Moghaddam he says, " play … allows children to extend themselves developmentally, to act above their age, to do things as part of a collectivity which they are individually too young to do” (p 158). By this he means that children start to do more advance things that they are not yet ready to do so at their age. For instance, as a young girl I use to always play restaurant with my sister. We would set up a table and would even make a menu. Through creating this scene, we act as waitresses and would make our cousins play as the customers. This role play allowed us to gain insight on one example of a work environment and the importance of the relationship between employee and customer.
