a. A strange situation A strange situation is a research method used in order to study attachment. It focuses on the relationship between the caregiver and the child, where a mother temporarily leaves the infant with a stranger. The importance of this is centred towards the reaction of the child, and how he or she reacts to the situation.There are three reactions of the infant to the mothers return, such as, firstly avoiding attachment, secondly simply resisting. and thirdly secure.b. Scaffolding- When children learn through interactions
