What Moghaddam means is when children play they are testing their skills and opportunities creating an imaginary social world and expressing what they constantly experience/see around them.
My example in-relation to this would be playing "house" "school" or "store" every time myself, friends or relatives come together. It was such a fun thing to do.. to act out a role you always see.. to make up your own rules, prices, time, days, names etc... i guess i was so interested in these play because it was something i was always doing in reality... with these three imaginary play we would go so far as jk-12th grade or literally celebrating "birthdays" while playing house or make the noise every time an object is cashed out.
