The behaviourists believed that the infant monkey would go to the wire mother when frightened, as it supplied food. The behaviourists studied psychology through how the environment affected the subject, and did not think that studying the mind was important. Thus, they believed that the infant monkey would go to the wire mother as food was rewarding. The infant monkey did not go to the wire mother in the experiment, it, instead went to the cloth mother as it comforted the infant. This choice is damaging to the behaviourists as the infant chose the cloth mother due to emotion rather than what is best for it environmentally.

You have got the concept right and know how to explain. I would suggest to first explain clearly what the behaviourist stand is when it comes to reward and punishment. then apply to this scenario.
If you can give a definition and expectation of a behaviourist position/expectations right at the beginning and then try to explain how it fits in case of this experiment, it produces a more valid and strong argument
