Harlow and the behaviourists

According to Harlow theory, he wanted to test the role of attachment. During the experiment he tested the attachment between the food and the attachment- (which is the comfort and security of their mother). What the researchers noticed when the experiment was on going was when the monkeys were frightened, they ended up going to the cloth side because they knew it was based on their own comfort and security. In Harlow's research, the result of damaging occurred because they realized that the testing was more than just biological needs, it had to deal with attachment.
