The attachment process include schema in the formulation as the knowledge of the caregiver provides the child with material used to formulate an understanding of how those in the position of caregivers behave and as this understanding develops a schema is build.
The parent and child also engage in activities which contribute to attachment but acts as medium through which the adult and teaches the child new information and in an effort to learn the new information assimilation and/or accommodation has to take place to produce the required end result of learning this new information.
