There are many norms displayed in this experiment as we see different individuals conform to the roles they are given. The "officers" were meant to reprimand the "prisoners" as well as lock them up and watch over them. however, we see a sense of conformity as they begin to treat the prisoners very harshly, much more than was expected. So much, that they actually asked to stop the experiment. We see a relation to Asch's study of conformity as they begin to really fill in the shoes of their roles.

I suggest rereading the question because it is not fully answered. Also, explain how did "treating prisoners harshly" show conformity?
