Examples of us acting differently?
Well, sometimes we act a little differently in front of our parents then we would our best friend who has known us for years. Other more subtle examples would be the use of certain terminology with certain groups of people "LOL" being acceptable over the internet but not so much when talking to someone face to face.
Examples against the idea that we are near constantly multiple people, well our other then our body stays pretty constant. Our internal process should be roughly the same, our key belifs are the same, even when we conform for what ever reason that doesn't change, granted we are acting differently but its not really changing our belief, its just changing our behavior for the sake of a reward we expect or the avoidance of punishment
I'm more inclined to believe we are basically one person that acts differently, not many people which come out dependence on the context... for the simple reason that when we "know" someone we can make some predictions on their behaviour in different contexts, "oh yeah you would do X" if we were completely differently people all the time I wouldn't be able to make any prediction of any behavior from my friends regardless of how long I have known them
