In my opinion, self perception is the sense of self which is build up gradually in the process of growth. The self perception have social origins. The society is like a mirror, Ourselves perceptions are usually come from how others look at us. But the mirror is warped mirror. Others evaluations are not usually accurate, but it does effect most of us. So it is crucial that what extent we come to believe how others look us. Generally, minority have a more distorted self perception that majority, they tend to see themselves as more inferior than majority groups or less accepted. On the other hand, self-perceptions are biased. Someone wants to get approval in his or her occupation area, they will only care about who those peers evaluate them.
