I disagree with the idea that multiple selves exist within every person. Although we do act differently around certain people there are various reasons for that. Most of the time we are different with our parents than with our friends is because we know our parents would not accept certain behaviors while our friends wouldn't care. However, essentially our core values, and beliefs stay constant. Of course our beliefs may change over time as a whole, but it's not like we have different values in different situations. Our central values stay the same, only our actions and behaviors may be different to coordinate with certain situations.
