There are norms in the excitement and we can see the prisoners conform to these norms. Because the excitement was conducted by someone who is in authority, the prisoners went with the idea and so did the college students. Because we see them acting in their own behalf and acting harshly towards these “prisoners” we can see that they have conformed. Very similar to the Milgram experiment where the authority figure tells them what to do any they do not question it. Not questioning is conforming to a certain social norm.

Can you explain what you mean by "excitement?" Did you mean experiment? I would suggest looking into obedience and defining it, then relate it to the Prison simulation. To not get confused it is important to know the definition of conformity and obedience and the difference between the two terms.
