I have found myself displacing my aggression on my assistant manager at work. I recently found out she was racist, especially towards my religious group, and it made me furious. However, because I do not want to fight her due to her power as the assistant manager, I have not said anything directly to her. Instead, I try not to talk to her, and if she gives me an order I do not make eye contact, I simply listen and reply with an "O K ". I would say my behavior is solely learnt because I was taught how to act in a workplace environment. I was taught by other friends and family who have worked how to carry yourself in the workforce and how to behave with other coworkers. I do not think any biological factors have to do with my displaced aggression.
