Evolutionary psychologists had in mind when they say that, culture itself is a result of evolution.
Culture is a result of evolution because it is forever changing and forever adapting to new traits, attributes and new belief systems.
It is possible for genes and culture to affect each other because,
when it comes to Evolution and survival of the fittest we adopt traits that are likely to survive from our culture and environment. However, biologically we have set predisposed adaptive traits that we are born with. As we assimilate into society we evolve as a culture. In those societies there are set norms and cultural expectations of the people of that Society. As we assimilate into our particular societies we are forced to adopt and to conform to those cultural expectations.
Affect comes in because biologically, we are born with certain attributes and evolutionary survival traits to our genetics. We are born with morality, survival instincts, survival knowledge, emotions etc, these are predisposed attributes of evolution survival. However, as we begin to assimilate within our societies we begin to adapt to the belief system, functions and structure of that society
