Social construction and agency Summarize your understanding of the relationship between the concept of social construction on the one hand and the concepts of agency, meaning systems, and normative science on the other.
To my understanding, the concept of social construction is social norms/rules or performances that are established and constructed based on and determined by the culture in which the society is in. Based on this information, social constructions form in which the society conform to and follow. This conformaty can be done subconsciously, which brings on the relationship with the concept of agency, meaning systems, and normative science. To my understanding, meaning systems that are create within the individual, it is something imprinted, much like a schema, its something that is established based on associations which come about during experiences. The brain makes associations when its exposed to certain situations that require any sort of understanding. When a person witnesses their father mistreating their mother, depending on the duration and severity, it is possible for a meaning system to be created in the brain, a meaning that says it is okay to mistreat other. This is also why people act the way they do, because of their exposure to it, in which creates meaning.
