Social Construction is a theory of knowledge in sociology and communication theory that examines the development of understanding the world which form assumptions about reality. Reductionism refers to a theory that seems to over-simplify human behaviour or cognitive processes. Individualism refers to the ways people identify themselves and focus on their goals. Social Constructionism relates to reductionism and individualism because social constructionism is based on one society/ group such as culture, views and beliefs system while reductionism and individualism is influenced by social constructionism because it allows individuals to be broken down into different behaviours and attitudes which distinguish why and how we are different. It also allows us individuals to depict how different we are from each other.
