What Moghaddam mean when he says “language is recognized as not just descriptive, but constructive", is language is not a transparent lens foe us to see the world. Language is been constructed under certain cultural background or social group. Language shaped our thought and perception. So It's not descriptive means language creation, using and understanding are heavily rely on certain cultural background and social group. For Example: Some internet slang like "Lurker". In the internet culture, the word is been using to describe who doesn't leave a comment in a forum. Even though somebody knows the traditional meaning the word, but if they do not browse any internet forum usually, they wouldn't understand what their friends is talking about a lurker in forum, Because they don't know the internet forum culture.
