The psychological problem that Moghaddam calls "good copy problem" is when minority groups are encouraged to strive to join majority groups. Minority groups can even be rewarded for this action. The problem lies in the concept that the minority group will never be as good as the majority group, and that they can only be "good copies" (never as good as the real thing and certainly not better than the real thing). As a result, this often leads to minority groups feeling frustrated/inferior. In my opinion, I don't think that this problem would occur less in a multiculturally orientated society because there would still be minority vs majority groups, and I don't think having multiple cultures would change this. At the same time, I do think that multiculturalism would decrease the "good copy problem" since it would be harder to categorize cultures into a hierarchy.
