1. Fear
ECS: Seeing a bear.
I think it is innate to fear a large animal that we are not certain will react to us. It would instinctive to become fearful and trigger a fight or flight response within an individual to protect themselves accordingly.
2. Surprise
ECS: Seeing a family member/ friend after many years.
This would be an innate because the emotion of surprise is instantaneous. Plus it is difficult to really associate anything to being surprised. Seeing someone after so many years would surprise you and maybe fuel you to be overcome with happiness (because you are happy to see them) or anger (because you two do not have the best relationship).
3. Disgust
ECS: bitter coffee
When it is something you taste, disgust would be an innate response. As you taste more things then you would have an association to what food/ tastes disgust you. Which could elicit a gag or wince which is a biological response.

When talking about fear, why do you think we have an innate fear of bears? Expand on this more.
