A mood can fall under the concept of background emotions, which typically refers to a given emotion over long periods of time, it could also be measured over many hours or even days. An example from the textbook would be "Peter has been in a foul mood". Mood could also be used when a frequently repeated engagement of the same emotion. Emotion is biological and feelings are psychological, and more internalized.
