Feeling is no doubt a psychological concept, but does Damasio’s approach seem to eliminate any need to talk about feelings in a psychological way. Is he saying that feelings are just biological processes. Does he leave any room anywhere for non-biological psychological processes in his explanation of feelings?
Damasio suggests that feelings are generally physical responses in the brain the result from external stimuli. Essentially, feelings don't just happen, you don't just feel them, there must be something to "trigger" the bodily functions that will then result in a feeling. To Damasio, feelings are usually brought about by an emotion which is unconscious. The feeling is then the internal response to the emotions.

Good explanation on Damasio's approach! Your answer could be strengthened by providing an example.
