Body state is the physical aspect (visibly) expressed of how your body feels. A particular stimulus (either externally or internally) triggers a reaction and your body responds by displaying the correct/appropriate body language. A body map on the other hand is the internal mapping produced when the sensing regions of your brain are triggered. Take for example, someone having a fever. The fever (the stimulus being an internal virus inside of you) makes you (your body) uncomfortable and as such, body expressions of discomfort (perhaps even pain) is expressed all over your body language (long/sad face, weary eyes, etc.). Your body map in this case is acting by inducing sweat glands to activate (mapping the illness - the fever in this case) and produce sweat in order for your body to try and kill the infection (the body map is responding AFTER the body state has expressed the emotions). As such, the body state can be thought of as emotions and the body map can be thought of as feelings
